Learn to eat right foods to control your blood sugar levels

I was diagnosed with diabetes mellitus 5 years ago,during my last pregnancy. At that time i didn't have any idea on what to eat or how much to eat. So i started reading searching for answers . I will be posting all my personal notes i had gather through the years. I hope it will help you to understand diabetes.

Tip of the Thumb- (to first knuckle)-1 tsp.

Whole Thumb- 1 Tbsp.

Palm of your hand or the size of a deck of playing cards-3 ounces

Tight fist = 1/2 cup

Loose fist or open handful= 1cup

These guidelines hold true for most women's hands,but some men's hands are much larger. Double Check the size of your hand's measurements with measuring cups,spoons, and a scale.
